Tali Kogan is a hardworking fashionista, blogger, and mom! Her creative spunky self is always on the go, and needed a low maintenance but trendy color and style. This is why I did the “rooty blonde” look on Tali. Giving her that highlighted bright look without showing the harsh line of a foil. I weaved the highlights around the crown of her head and did back to back foils to frame her face. The way to truly get the “rooty” look is to tone down the root color one to two levels from what you want the end color to be. This gives the hair longevity of the color creating a melted, blended blonde and the growing out process is awesome! What more could a busy working mom want?
The style that I created on Tali began with blow drying her hair smooth using the Gold Lust oil by Oribe. This oil is amazing for hair that needs a little bit of taming. I used about 3 pumps and worked my hands through the ends first working my way to her roots. After blowing her out smooth I used my 1 1/4″ curling iron and curling the hair away from the face on both sides of the head going all in the same direction. I finished this look with the shine and wave spray by Oribe. I let the hair cool for one minute and then run my fingers through the hair to comb out the curls creating a beach wave. This style is great for women like Tali because it is long lasting and gives you an effortless, yet polished look.
