Not surprising, the Instagram-addict model upload her photos almost daily, ensuring that people always have something to talk about her. And now the designer label and fashion editors are speculating that Cara Delevingne is the real deal, to be the next Kate Moss.
About Cara Delevingne
Born in British, Cara is the new ‘it’ model known for her trademark thick, bushy brows that looks contrast with other models that opt for perfectly groomed brows. She was the youngest of three sisters born into a rich British family – Chloe, 28 and Poppy, 26 (also a model).
Her family line is within from the upper class royalty: her grandfather was the director of the London Evening Standard and later the Daily Express, as well as the proprietor-editor of The Queen magazine.
It helps that she is a London socialite. They certainly know everybody and with their life at close-up they certainly feed the tabloids with news and juicy gossips.
Cara’s modelling career
She began her career in modeling at the age of 17, with Asos model management and got her debut in Clements Ribeiro for spring/summer 2012 at London Fashion Week. But the true big break came when she modeled for H&M and Burberry and Burberry loved her that she became the new face of the label for 2012, modeling exclusively for Burberry and Burberry Prorsum.
Word caught on because of her contrasting looks and youthful face, offers came from other labels such as Stella McCartney, DKNY, Dolce & Gabbana, and even Chanel to strut their collection.
Cara Delevingne became well-known after she walk for Victoria Secret’s fashion show for teenage line and soon afterwards British Vogue described her as the “star face” for autumn/winter 2012-2013 season. Cara soon gained increasing popularity, having won Model of the Year 2012 at the British Fashion Awards.
With her gaining popularity, girls want to copy her bushy brows and Cara Delevingne reportedly single-handedly slows down tweezer sales.
Controversy made by Cara Delevingne
H&M reportedly dropped her few weeks after pictures of Cara reportedly dropped a bag of white powder in front of the paps. Although the label insists that they have never make Cara as the face of H&M, they stated that H&M have no reason to work with her in the future.
Still, H&M is known to have zero-tolerance with drug used and even have fired Kate Moss when the same case of coke snorting came up, so you can do the math.
What’s next for Cara Delevingne
Surprisingly, Cara also delved into music and acting, having a small role in Anna Karenina and even come close to get the role of Éponine from the movie musical “Les Misérables”. For now, she’s planning to expand her career in States, possibly rooming in with her best pal Rihanna in New York.
