The Toronto International Film Festival has long been a hot-spot destination for top independent films to get a showcasing and see a focus of leading artists, filmmakers, directors, actors, and producers in the audience – as well as for actors and other celebrities to enjoy the time, schmooze the red carpet, and show off to the world with new styles, haircuts, clothing choices, and more.
After having just wrapped – following 11 days of non-stop movies and films from various independent outfits around the world – the Toronto International Film Festival held quite a few memorable roles. Sandra Bullock showed well in the new film Gravity, as did Michael Fassbender in the controversial and gut-wrenching movie 12 Years A Slave. Judi Dench was strong as always in Philomena, portraying a mother searching for her lost son, and Gattlin Griffith was an interesting young protagonist in Labour Day.
Kate Winslet at the Labor Day Premiere in Toronto
Beyond that, though, the hair styles and fashions shown at the Toronto International Film Festival were some for the ages, as well. Kate Winslet, a mother-to-be (again!), struck the perfect chord with her stunning gown and cropped, relaxed hairdo at the premiere of Labour Day. She showed off a great day-to-night hairdo at the permiere, making it appropriate for all occasions as it was both casual enough to enjoy a normal night, and yet elegant enough to be portrayed somewhere like the Toronto International Film Festival.
Julia Roberts arrives at TIFF premiere
Julia Roberts had the hair to match her personality on the red carpet Osage County premiere. She rocked a ‘do with loose curls and a relaxed, long look that was both glamorous and pretty. In a ravishing Dolce & Gabbana dress. And, her curls and tendrils framed her face perfectly and showed off her high energy and beautiful assets in a classy and fabulous way truly befit of Roberts.
Abigail Breslin At The “August: Osage County” Premiere
Abigail Breslin was equally gorgeous at the premiere of August: Osage County, as she wore a ponytail that looked both childish and cute, and glamorous and drop-dead gorgeous. Ponytails can be both sophisticated and glamorous, and Breslin rocked one with the best of them, pulled over to one side with a sophisticated look, gorgeous eye makeup, and accenting her stunning facial features.
Reese Witherspoon: ‘Devil’s Knot’ Screening at TIFF
Finally, Reese Witherspoon decided to debut a classic at the screening of Devil’s Knot, rocking her trademark side swept hair do that was both elegant and playful, and completely befitting of this new mom. Her hair was twisted at the nape of her neck, too, to add an element of making it both relaxed and wearable, while looking fresh and gorgeous all at the same time.
Clearly, it was a good day to be a beautiful actress at the Toronto International Film Festival, as these women all acquitted themselves quite well and came away looking quite beautiful with their respective hairdos and looks on the red carpet. And with the Toronto International Film Festival getting bigger and bigger every year, with more stars and more media members in attendance, it’s a sure fire bet that you will continue to see the most beautiful looks from the biggest stars on the red carpet!
